Zerd is a New York-based Buryat-Mongolian ensemble of singers, dancers, and morin khuur (horsehead fiddles) under the leadership of Dimitry Ayurov. With ancestral roots in Inner Asian nomadism, their goal is to preserve and promote over a thousand years of rich heritage. Recently settled in New York city, Dimitry is working with CTMD to develop a public profile for Zerd in the five boroughs and the fifty states. 
 
The Flurry Festival is one of the largest folk dance and music festivals in North America, and draws roughly 4,500 attendees and 400 performers.
