We invite everyone to join us for the Urban Stomp. A community-wide celebratory event featuring live music with the most swingin’ swing (Danny Jonokuchi & The Revisionists, Alexa Barchini – Vocals), hard-hitting mambo and some New York salsa (7x Grammy nominated bandleader Bobby Sanabria bringing his Quarteto Aché). This ‘get down’ will show what happens when Cuba, Harlem, and Puerto Rico meet in NYC. There will also be some boogaloo, cha cha cha and blues to show musical currents from various communities.
Event features all-level, mini dance workshops, music lessons, art-making, and performances with Gaby Cook, Samuel Coleman, Wild Rhythm, Franck Muhel, Dancing Classrooms New York City, The Big Apple Lindy Hoppers, and more. You will also get a chance to take a tour of this historic, beautiful church built during the Harlem Renaissance!
