The Nation’s Largest Yiddish Culture Festival Returns Online December 26-30, 2020!

Join us in December as we create a new Yiddish New York experience online. Be part of an amazing intergenerational community, local and international. The sixth annual Yiddish New York will have plenty of programs for young, old and everyone in between!

Films – Lectures – Theater – Yiddish Song – Folk Dance – Yiddish Language – Yiddish Culture and History – Visual Arts – Master Classes – Ensembles – Foods – Klezmer Music – Local Community – Art Exhibition – Special Programs for Kids & Teens and More!

Registration for our December 2020 Online Program is Now Open! All of YNY’s programs are online this year– Daytime Programs will use Zoom and Evening Programs will use a mix of Zoom and private Vimeo sessions. We will provide more information soon about tech requirements, and offer training prior to the festival.

Jewish Silk Road Tours™: Bukharian Community Tour in Queens, NY

Bukharian Jewish Community Center

A walking/bus tour of several fascinating neighborhoods in Queens, NY; also known as Registan Park (Rego Park) and Bukharian Broadway (Forest Hills). Learn about the Jewish community that has lived along the Silk Road for over 2000 years, in cities such as Samarkand, Dushanbe and Tashkent. Now largely resettled in diasporic enclaves in Queens and Israel, we’ll explore how community members continue to preserve unique Central Asian traditions while creating one of New York’s most vibrant contemporary Jewish communities.
