Yiddish New York features an incredible faculty of more than 90 of Yiddish culture’s leading artists, scholars and personalities. Registration is now open for this year’s Yiddish New York festival. From lectures to films to music workshops to Yiddish lessons to neighborhood walking tours, YNY has something for everyone. Individuals and families of all backgrounds are welcome! Affordable rates, you don’t need to speak Yiddish to have fun!

Jewish Silk Road Tours™: Bukharian Community Tour in Queens, NY

A walking/bus tour of several fascinating neighborhoods in Queens, NY; also known as Registan Park (Rego Park) and Bukharian Broadway (Forest Hills). Learn about the Jewish community that has lived along the Silk Road for over 2000 years, in cities such as Samarkand, Dushanbe and Tashkent. Now largely resettled in diasporic enclaves in Queens and Israel, we’ll explore how community members continue to preserve unique Central Asian traditions while creating one of New York’s most vibrant contemporary Jewish communities.
