The Soorya NYC Festival on September 14th at the Staten Island Museum was a remarkable celebration of Sri Lankan arts, culture, and community. With over 700 attendees throughout the day, the festival was alive with vibrant performances, immersive workshops, and the joyful gathering of friends and families. The diverse program showcased the best of Sri Lankan traditional dance, music, and visual arts, captivating audiences and fostering a strong sense of cultural pride and unity. From Kandyan dancers to traditional drummers, every performance received enthusiastic applause, and guests left inspired by the richness of Sri Lankan heritage. We are thrilled by the festival’s success and grateful to everyone who made it possible—our performers, volunteers, partners, and the amazing community that came out to celebrate.
