CTMD co-founders Ethel Raim and Martin Koenig join CTMD Executive Director Pete Rushefsky with the American Folklife Center’s Director of Research John Fenn for a conversation about CTMD’s 50 years of work as advocates for the traditional arts of immigrant communities in New York City. The panel discussion includes presentations by the media arts organization Appalshop, whose founders are also celebrating their 50th anniversary of cultural work and by activists associated with DC’s Drum and Spear Bookstore, a hub for the black consciousness and civil rights activism.
