The FolkCOLOMBIA Escuela de Danza y Música will resume with Spring classes beginning Saturday, March 9, for kids 5 to 15 years of age!

This Spring, FolkCOLOMBIA will teach three Colombian music and dance traditions:

• “El Porro”, a rhythm from the Atlantic coast, with master drummer Nes Gomez leading the class

• “El sanjuanero”, Rubén Dario Mejia (Dance teacher) will present the sanjuanero, the Andean tradition at its finest.

• “Las Farotas”, master dance teacher Karla Florez will be instructing the classes in this cultural expression of dance from Colombia’s Atlantic coast.
