This event, which took place on Zoom on June 23, 2021, showcases the next phases of the “Inside the Yiddish Folksong” website www.yiddishfolksong.com, which launched in November 2020. This program, moderated by Mark Slobin, includes presentations by celebrated Yiddish culture scholars Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett, Cantor Janet Leuchter and Hankus Netsky on their experiences conducting ethnographic fieldwork and archival research to investigate the Yiddish folksong tradition.
